Why do people continue to vote for Barbara Bailey? Is it some form of muscle memory caused by repeatedly pulling the lever for her in previous elections?

Bailey has helped make Washington the “Mississippi of the Northwest” with crumbling roads, unfunded schools, and state parks that are headed for the auction block. And guess who is paying for Sen. Bailey’s campaign? She received a six-figure donation from everyone’s favorite corporate predator, the payday loan industry.

Compared to Bailey, her opponent, Angie Homola, should be fast-tracked for sainthood. Homola is against absurdly low wages, voter suppression, and for not funding what little is left of our state government mainly with our wretched sales tax. Homola even donated $40,000 of her salary as a county commissioner to help offset huge county budget cuts during the Great Recession.

Just once, let’s pass on voting for Barbara Bailey this year. Your Republican neighbors will never know.
