Use 2018 to vote in candidates who care

Editor,

If you had any doubt about Donald J. Trump’s immigration agenda, it should be crystal clear now, after his Jan. 11 Oval Office statement on immigrants from “s…hole countries,” including Haiti, Africa and the Caribbean. His racist attitudes, lenience toward American terrorists and lack of diversity in his cabinet show us he has no use for people of color, women, the poor or disadvantaged.

Trump seems to only want around himself rich, white, entitled, spoiled corporate-type men. He is a dishonest, crude, clueless con man, who has made 2,000 false statements since becoming president. That’s five a day! To make matters worse, the GOP Congress now follows him like lemmings. They won’t speak up or cross him on anything. They are the oversight which should protect us.

Where are they? Are they afraid? It’s been a year and we have no doubt who is in the White House. It’s unacceptable, an abomination and an embarrassment. Donald J. Trump has no business being in the White House pretending to be president. He is unfit in so many ways. Again I plea, hope and pray that everyone will keep the 2018 midterm elections in sight. Use your vote to put in candidates who care about this country and will do something when they get to Washington, D.C. At last then we may be able to start the process of bringing America back to its former self and dump Trump.
