In the late 1800s, Mary Baker Eddy wrote the “scientific statement of being,” which begins “There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all.”

This concept of “Mind,” or “Spirit,” as the only real substance is of particular interest during this time of year when God’s creation and the mission of Jesus Christ are a focal point of festivities and songs. On Sunday, Dec. 18, the Christian Science service delves more deeply into creation and its spiritual nature and how understanding creation involves understanding spiritual good.

Everyone is welcome at this service that explores the creation of the universe and how understanding spirituality provides the “demarcation between the real and the unreal,” (“Science and Health”).
