Lavena Johanson, a guest soloist with the Saratoga Orchestra for upcoming concerts in Oak Harbor and Langley, will be leading a cello master class on Oct. 22 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at South Whidbey High School. The master class is free to all students. A donation of $10 is suggested for adults.

Johanson will work with select students on solo repertoire, interpretation and technique.

According to a news release, the public is invited to watch this unique interaction no matter the instrument or level of musical accomplishment.
