Donations are being sought by Senior Services of Island County for a fundraising sale at the Bayview Senior Center on April 23.

The organization hopes to raise $5,000 to cover funding losses in its 2011 budget.

The sale will offer books, household items, gifts, clothing and other items, along with antiques and collectibles.

Proceeds will benefit the organization’s nutrition program, which served 86,000 meals in 2010 at six sites in Island County. At least 31,000 meals were delivered to house-bound residents and other seniors.

Donations may be brought to the Bayview Senior Center at 14594 Highway 525, across from the Bayview Park-and-Ride, or call 321-1600.
