Thirteen members of South Whidbey Community Tennis Association arrived at South Whidbey High School tennis courts on March 27 for the second annual work party.  Each year the association gathers to beautify the courts in conjunction with the start of the spring and summer tennis season in order to show support for the high school teams and to help maintain the courts.

The crew managed to weed, pick up trash and recyclables, cut back blackberry bushes from the courts and rake, sweep and trim around the court perimeters.  It was all accomplished in a few hours, with plenty of time for a few games of tennis afterward.

The overall mission of the association is to promote, develop and support the growth of tennis in the South Whidbey community.
