Falcons take 10th at Suncadia / Girls golf

The South Whidbey High School girls golf team finished in the middle of the pack at the Suncadia Invitational at the Roper Rider Golf Course Tuesday, April 30, in Cle Elum.

The Falcons placed 10th in the 20-team event with 442 strokes. Bellingham claimed the title with 334, one better than Kamiak.

Kamiak’s Regina Park earned medalist honors with a one-under 71.

Tori Schuller paced South Whidbey with a 99, good for 29th out of 84 golfers.

Alyssa Ludtke finished with 110, Emma Leggett 111, Olivia Varga 122 and Bella Pierce 131.

Cedar Park Christian comes to the island for a 3 p.m. match Thursday, May 2, at the Useless Bay Golf and Country Club in the final regular season contest of the spring.

The North Sound Conference Championship is 11:45 a.m. Monday, May 6, at the Snohomish Golf Course.
