First golf match cancelled due to high winds

Due to high winds that rocked Western Washington on Wednesday night and Thursday morning, South Whidbey High School’s boys and girls golf teams opted not to attend the Lake Stevens Jamboree at Battle Creek Golf Course.

Due to high winds that rocked Western Washington on Wednesday night and Thursday morning, South Whidbey High School’s boys and girls golf teams opted not to attend the Lake Stevens Jamboree at Battle Creek Golf Course.

The boys team hosts its first home match of the season March 17 against Cedarcrest at the Useless Bay Golf and Country Club. Tee off is at 3 p.m.

The girls team’s first match will be March 22 at the Whidbey Shootout, hosted by Oak Harbor High School.
