Girls basketball wins big against Granite Falls at home

The South Whidbey’s girls basketball team defeated Cascade Conference foe Granite Falls, 63-29, on Tuesday night at South Whidbey High School.

The South Whidbey’s girls basketball team defeated Cascade Conference foe Granite Falls, 63-29, on Tuesday night at South Whidbey High School. Falcon junior Megan Drake led all scorers with 18 points. Junior Kacie Hanson was second on the team with 13 points. Junior Kinsey Eager scored a third-best nine points.

South Whidbey was defeated by Class 1A Nisqually League competitor Bellevue Christian, 47-37, on Thursday night.

The Falcons are 6-4 overall and 3-2 in the Cascade Conference. The team is third in the league standings, behind King’s and Archbishop Murphy.
