Margaret Ruth Jensen Diefendorf

Margaret Ruth Jensen Diefendorf, a retired Highline School District substitute teacher, died March 23, 2002, in Highline Community Hospital after an emergency operation. She was born July 8, 1921, in Salt Lake City.

Mrs. Diefendorf was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and a 1941 graduate of the University of Utah. She resided in the Puget Sound area since 1952 with homes in Burien and Langley. She married Randall A. Diefendorf June 8, 1942.

She is survived by her husband, Randall A. Diefendorf, in Seattle; son David R. Diefendorf and his wife Glenna (Horrigan) Diefendorf and four children, Anna, Patrick, Jocelyn and Benson of Redmond; daughter Barbara R. (Diefendorf) Schneeman and children, Elizabeth and Bill of Langley; a sister, Mrs. Hazel (Wren) (Jensen) Egan of Salt Lake City; three nephews, John S. Diefendorf and family of Bellevue, Thomas R. Diefendorf and family of Bremerton, and Dan W. Egan and family of Draper, Utah; and six nieces, Kathryn (Diefendorf) Knowles and husband of Sammamish, Mary Claudia (Diefendorf) Kirk and family of Yakima, Carol (Diefendorf) Brandt and family of Wapato, Ellen Vanhille and family of Farmington, Utah, Millie Jane Egan of Salt Lake City, and Susan Odendahl and family of Draper, Utah.
