LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Refine the PUD numbers first

To the editor:
Before any vote on a PUD, we need to be sure the numbers are correct.
There is a big difference from the $57 million of the PUD and the $150 million to $200 million of Puget Sound Energy. Those numbers are not to be taken lightly.
How many years to pay for all this?
To give the PUD the go-ahead to start taxing and obtaining without concrete numbers is like giving them a blank check; no matter what the cost, we taxpayers will be forced to pay it.
Also, the PUD is supposed to save us 20 percent when all is over. However, won’t all the costs involved that we must pay eat up that percentage and more? This is not a move that can be done within a short time therefore costing more and more each year.
The wind will still topple trees; we will still be without power as also seen across the country when storms do their damage.
Too much of this is an unknown factor — vote NO on the PUD in November.
