Giving generously caught on at South Whidbey High School recently.
Students collectively donated $1,309 to Pennies for Patients. The program helps lymphoma and leukemia patients.
The drive had cans in every classroom, and it was on each third period class to donate. Doug Fulton’s marine biology class donated the most out of any individual classroom, accounting for almost half the school’s total. Those students won a pizza party thanks to Coaches Pizza in Freeland.
