Holiday road closures set

Road closures for the annual Celebrate America event in Freeland have been announced.

The following roads will be closed from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on July 3: Shoreview Drive between Freeland Avenue and Stewart Road, Myrtle Avenue between Shoreview Drive and Main Street.

Residents who live within this area may obtain a Roadblock Pass by calling 360-221-1656.

The boat ramp at Freeland Park will also be closed from 4 p.m. July 2 until midnight on July 3.

Boats anchored within 1,400 feet of the dock must be moved by 2 p.m. July 3 or they may be moved by the Island County Sheriff’s Department.

Celebrate America organizers asked the public to plan ahead for the road and dock closures.
