Johnson named to 5-county panel

Island County Commissioner Jill Johnson has been selected to represent the five-county North Sound Region on a statewide behavioral health committee designed to advise the Washington State Healthcare Authority on investments in chemical dependency and mental health programming.

Johnson was chosen by her peers to serve in this role as determined by the Washington State Association of Counties.

“It’s very exciting to help our state continue to enhance our system of care for individuals afflicted with mental health or substance abuse issues,” she said.
