Letter: America is already great, will to be continue so

Editor,
As an old lady in a wheelchair, I have mobility issues. But I still have a voice, a brain and a vote that I intend to keep using in protest of the current federal administration for as long as possible.
When the forefathers and mothers began our country, it was to make a more perfect union. Nothing was said about making this a perfect business. But our current administration is so money- and business-oriented that the will of the people is ignored while the threat of World War Three becomes a real possibility and, ironically, all of this is explained as a matter of security for our oil supply or in defense of hypothetical attacks on Greenland.
As a former small business owner, I am not opposed to considerations based on good business practices, but other issues take precedence. A more perfect union should be based upon the considerations of all our people, not just on the ones with the most money — or the ones whose forefathers came over on the Mayflower.
But before our country gets mired in a worldwide situation that may take years to correct — if it hasn’t already done so — please consider what is best for you, your family and our country before supporting and voting for an administration that does not consider the daily needs and lives of the average citizen.
Please do this for yourself, if not for others.
We don’t have to make America great again. It always was and will continue to be the greatest county in the world. But it is up to all of us to keep it that way.
