Letter: Rage writers would even attack Jesus

Editor,

When I used to be on social media I was sometimes attacked for “virtue signaling.” This made no sense because my post weren’t particularly virtuous and because these assaults on my virtue were from people who were “rage signaling.”

The objective of the posts and letters from these flaming ragers is mind-numbing outrage, or feeling like they have sufficiently insulted others.

Fred Wilferth’s March 28 letter is an example: He attacks another American with the same boring litany of complaints: Biden’s health, immigrants, COVID responses, men in women’s sports ….

Fred and the other Proud Boys – Ty Welch, Terry Sparks, Luie Ferrer – will rage on about Trump’s stolen election fantasy, the Obamas, the No Kings protests and the Holy Grail of their fake outrage: Trump Derangement Syndrome.

You can be sure that if Jesus (the real one, not the orange variety) wrote a letter here, Fred Wilferth, Ty Welch, Terry Sparks, Luie Ferrer and others would attack Christ for being a Liberal Snowflake and for Virtue Signaling.

And in this instance they’d be right.
