Coupeville softball got the best of its Whidbey Island rival South Whidbey on Tuesday.

And the Wolves did it in spectacular fashion.

South Whidbey held an 8-7 lead going into the bottom of the seventh inning. The Falcons were three outs from their first win of the season.

Coupeville scored the tying and winning runs on a two RBI double by McKayla Bailey. It gave the Wolves their first Cascade Conference win this season.

Falcon juniors Chantel Brown and Haley Viers went 3-for-5 and senior Ellie Greene knocked a triple.

South Whidbey is 0-3 in Cascade Conference games and overall this season. Other than a 16-10 loss to Lakewood, South Whidbey has lost its games by two runs or less.
