South Whidbey School District officials will meet tonight to review and vote on the district’s budget for the 2011-2012 school year.
It’s another down year for the district, which expects to reduce its budget to $15.1 million, a decrease of more than $429,000.
A presentation on the budget by Dan Poolman, the district’s business manager, will precede a public hearing.
The board will also vote on a collective bargaining agreement for the Public School Employees of South Whidbey, and consider a one-year renewal of the food service contract with Chartwells.
Also on the agenda: a review of policies prohibiting harassment and bullying, and tobacco use on school property.
The board will meet in the board meeting room on the South Whidbey Primary Campus at 6:30 p.m.
A closed-door executive session will be held before the meeting at 5:30 p.m. to discuss negotiations regarding the remaining union agreements.
