Three orca pods returned from the Pacific Ocean this week and were spotted north of Bellingham in the Salish Sea.

It is the first time K Pod has entered the inland waters since December. Howard Garrett and Susan Berta of Orca Network reported J and K pods traveled into the Georgia Strait while L pod lingered.

There were also reports of minke whales traveling with the resident orcas.
