To the editor:
Once again. Once again. Once again, in the deadening wake of such mind-screwing insanity as just happened in Lakewood, all lofty arguments about 2nd Amendment gun rights are no more than the vaporous bleatings of insubstantial phantoms.
Some of our in-laws and two of our friends are police officers and, God willing, we will never have to experience the shrieking, unthinkable nightmare of a barely coherent phone call from one of their newly “surviving family members.”
I want more gun control: a lot more gun control.
