Kenneth Robert Charles, an 18-year resident of South Whidbey, passed away June 7, 2006 in Freeland with his loving family at his side.

He was born to Maurice and Augusta Justice (Rasmussen) Charles on Dec. 4, 1929 in Seattle. Kenneth served his country in the military. He entered into marriage with Ann Covell in Seattle in 1951.

They were blessed with two sons, Glenn and Marc. Kenneth worked for many years as a journeyman electrician. Kenneth is survived by his loving family, beloved wife and partner of 55 years, Ann; loving sons Glenn Charles and his wife Diane, and Marc Charles and his wife Susan, all of Shoreline; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at his home on Sunday, June 25. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to Enso House, Freeland. Aarrangements were entrusted to Affordable Burial and Cremation Services of Mount Vernon.
