One man was killed and a woman was injured about 10 a.m. Monday in a two-car accident in Freeland.

The two cars collided at the intersection of Bush Point Road and Mutiny Bay Road; the driver of a Dodge Dakota Sport truck died when his vehicle flipped and came to rest on its roof. The driver of the second car was transported to Whidbey General Hospital in Coupeville.

County road crews have closed Bush Point Road at Highway 525 to traffic while the investigation continues.
