G.A. Edwards, 83, of Greenbank, Wash. passed away on July 10, 2017 after a brief illness.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Edwards, sister Wanie Gudatis, four children — Gary Edwards, Jackie Cooney, Penny Kai and Kevin Edwards — 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

In life G.A. embraced a strong work ethic working as a mortuary dresser and fruit packer. His greatest love was hardware — Pinkerton Pacific Ace and Home Depot. G.A. especially loved locks and keys; if he was re-keying or cutting keys, he was a happy man.

When not at work, G.A. enjoyed fishing, dancing, making Native American jewelry, picture framing, bird watching, gardening and telling his tales of adventure. He was also active in his wife’s drama group, Whidbey Prime Time Players. Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Church of Jesus Christ, 5425 Maxwelton Road, to be followed by a celebration of life for this strong family man.
