Washington State Ferries vessels will honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces on Veteran’s Day.
All vessels sailing at 11:11 a.m. Saturday will observe a two-minute moment of silence. Following the moment of silence, the ships will blow their whistles in unison to “recognize the bravery and sacrifice of our veterans,” according to a press release.
“Many of our employees have served and defended our country,” Washington State Ferries head Amy Scarton said. “They are now serving the people of Washington state by connecting communities, including military families and facilities, as well as other veterans.”
