Letter: Letter writer owes Kamala Harris, blacks an apology

In his letter to the editor published in the Aug. 15 Whidbey News-Times, Richard Ays again succeeds in making himself look foolish.

He argues that he is not racist since he called Kamela Harris “stupid” on the basis of the decisions she has made. Sen. Harris has a distinguished record as a prosecutor and a member of the U.S. Senate.

She is clearly one of the brightest members of the Senate and, to boot, she is quite moderate in her positions.

I am willing to bet Mr, Ays knows very little about Sen. Harris or any of her decisions.

And, when he originally wrote his letter about African American women idiots back in late July, he did not know who would be selected as Biden’s running mate.

Mr. Ays owes Sen. Harris, and African Americans in general, an apology.
