Kat Fritz will be missed | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor: For the past decade Kat Fritz has been a very important person on the Island Strings staff, as well as a performer with the Saratoga Chamber Orchestra and various string quartets and ensembles.

For the past decade Kat Fritz has been a very important person on the Island Strings staff, as well as a performer with the Saratoga Chamber Orchestra and various string quartets and ensembles.

At the end of this week, after summer music camp, she and her family will be moving to Louisville, Colo., near Boulder. Kat’s friends and colleagues, and especially her students, will miss her.

She also taught at the Whidbey Island Waldorf School and at South Whidbey’s elementary school. It will be a challenge to fill her shoes, but Island Strings teachers and string associates Elizabeth Lovelace, Kimmer Morris, Patrice Shearer, Talia Marcus and

Island Strings will perform next at the Loganberry Festival, at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 24, and we’ll be at Children’s Day on Sept. 24.
