I read the front page story in the May 28, 2025 South Whidbey Record, telling us that the City of Langley would celebrate Pride Month, with Langley Mayor Horstman raising the Pride Flag over city Hall on June 1.

In the interest of equity and inclusion, I propose the City of Langley celebrate National Boy Scout Day for the week following Feb. 8 and raise a Scouting America flag at the Langley City Hall. A front-page story about the history of scouting in the U.S.A. would be nice, too. Seems only fair to include everyone.
