Letter: Cyr is ‘smart, personable, progressive,’ right for job

Editor,

I join the chorus of voices urging citizens to elect Craig Cyr to the Langley City Council. He’s a fresh, smart, personable, progressive civic leader with proven problem-solving abilities.

Craig’s opponent, Bruce Allen, has been supportive of Langley as a community volunteer for years. But in my many face-to-face dealings with Bruce, I find that he lacks the temperament, creativity and skill-set to deal effectively with the inevitable conflicts inherent in a City Council job. So I say retire this bristly old war horse with our thanks and replace him on the council with a fresh new face more in tune with the style and politics of our town.
