Letter: Drivers turning right must stop at red light

Editor,

When traveling south on Highway 20 and making a right turn at Pioneer Way, drivers need to open their eyes and follow the traffic signal when the right turn arrow is red. You do not ignore it and blast around the corner.

Recently, not one but three cars ran the light in unison when a person trying to cross with a dog was almost run over. Not one car stopped this while the walk symbol was brightly lit. Had this person not have good reflexes, they would have been hurt badly. And if they were blind and listening for the rapid signal that it is safe to cross, they would be dead.
