I am writing in response to Thomas Kosloske’s May 27 letter: “Gun law unfair to retired police, military veterans. “

Imagine, former Navy Seals, Army Rangers and people who used to be in law enforcement – people who have defended our democracy (and yes, our republic), who have fought terrorist and protected us from dangerous criminals now have to take a simple, one-time firearms safety test before purchasing a firearm.

Why, I am shocked and awed! If I were as outraged as Mr. Kosloske, I’d consider moving to Florida. That way, he won’t have to take any basic firearms safety tests and he’ll be much closer to Disney World – and I am sure Gov. Meatball Ron will take his calls!
