Letter: Garden Club from mainland offers scholarships

Once again, the Mukilteo Way Garden Club is proud to offer their $10,00 horticulture scholarship for the 2022-23 academic year. The scholarship program is possible through the continued success of the Mukilteo Garden and Quilt Tour which they co-present with the Mukilteo Lighthouse Quilters. The current tour is scheduled for July 16-17.

The scholarship provides funds for academic classes, fees and materials in horticulture, agriculture, landscape design or related fields at an accredited college or trade school in the state of Washington. Classes may be taken in pursuit of a degree or for augmenting current employment or pursuing new career goals. Graduating high school seniors, college students, and anyone currently working in horticulture related fields or those interested in beginning a new path into those fields are encouraged to apply.

Criteria for scholarship selection includes financial need and career goals as well as activities and achievements in school and/or community. Applications are available at www.mwgc.org or by request from Mukilteo Way Garden Club, PO Box 1361, Mukilteo, WA 98275 Applications must be submitted online or postmarked by May 31.
