Letter: Mayoral candidate’s past raises questions

Editor,

I challenge candidate Ronnie Wright to define integrity. As he states in the Whidbey News Times article (June 7 story, ‘Wright plans to be ‘more present’ as mayor), his career with the IRS was that of an outstanding employee with meritorious success.

So why come into the office over the Columbus Day holiday in 2012 and clean out his office of personal items? Suddenly resigning unbeknownst to anyone was quite odd for a person of integrity. I guess his reason for leaving is his alone. Hopefully the population of Oak Harbor makes the right choice on Aug. 1.
