LETTER TO EDITOR: Amazing crew helped festival

As I walked through Langley this weekend, I realized how extraordinary the Choochokam Arts Festival was this year and what an amazing group of volunteers transformed this seaside village into a celebration.

It is no small feat to create a community event full of music, art and activities as a nonprofit organization. Countless hours from enthusiastic individuals with never ending dedication made it all possible.

The four corners of music, the flow of art, the incredible handmade booths and festival markers, the local artists in action, the crafts for kids, the poetry, the free Friday concert, the film festival and the marathon.

I cannot believe how long the list is and how much people gave of themselves to make it happen. I am sure I will miss someone so please forgive me but my sincere THANKS to Sherry Mays, Neil Colburn, Celia Black, Gwen Jones, Joe Menth, Tom Moore, Mary Ann Mansfield, Karen Swegler, Stephanie Neis, Sue Keblusek, Mayor Paul Samuelson, Des Rock, Peggy Moe, Lynn Willeford, Matt Simms, Shirley Jantz, Tim Leonard, David Ransil, Eric Richmond, David Price, Kristina Mergens, Chris Baldwin, Michael Muzos, Rich Bacigalupi, the Langley Community Club, Ed Gemkow and his team, Diane Lantz and my family.
