Editor,

New Year’s Eve morning was like none before. Hubby had a heart attack. Every responder, from 9-1–1 dispatch to the emergency team quickly arriving and related actions taken, deserve nothing but highest the praise. The emergency medical technician coordinated with receiving hospital. Time was essential to hubby’s successful outcome. South Whidbey EMT was key to my husband’s win of “life lotto.” He is doing very well after surgery. Praise the Lord! We are blessed with South Whidbey first responders’ excellence. Thank you to 9-1-1 and EMTs.
