Incumbent Ana Maria Nuñez is extremely qualified to be the Island County treasurer. I have learned that she implemented more new and innovative programs and services for Island County than any treasurer before her. In the last four years she has eliminated a backlog in processing adjustments to property taxes that existed for 10 years; not a problem she created but one she fixed.

I am especially impressed with her partnership with the Opportunity Council to assist those at risk of foreclosure, enabling citizens to keep their homes.

When you look at how Ms. Nuñez has operated during her time in office, it’s obvious that she really cares about the people in Island County and that she has a true dedication to fulfilling the tasks of the Island County treasurer.

For these reasons I endorse and urge you to vote for Ms. Nuñez.
