LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Another victim of media bias

To the editor:

Mr. Freeman, there you go, just like the other Blame America First people, twisting the facts. I responded to Steve Erickson’s piece because he was calling waterboarding torture. It is not torture, just as sleep deprivation, bright lights and loud music are not torture.

I am against torture, too; breaking limbs, cutting limbs off, cutting body parts off like the ear, nose, finger or toes, etc. I do have an exception, if it means saving our country from an imminent attack and saving thousands of American lives.

Statements you made in your article show me that you are still thinking of the Bush Administration. Newsbreak: He is gone. We have a whole new administration. CIA Director George Tenet was a Bill Clinton appointee holdover in the Bush administration. Shortly after 911, he stepped down. Speaker Nancy Pelosi was briefed on the tactic of waterboarding with other congressmen and senators present. Recently, she has made statements that she was not briefed, and after she was proved wrong (lying) does not want to talk about it.

Mr. Freeman, you and the other Blame America First people have become fanatics to the point of no reasoning. The media has demonized the Bush Administration to be monsters, and people like you have fed off that. You and the others are victims of media bias.
