Editor, Meerkerk Gardens is in its peak bloom season. Every year I hear people lamenting they forgot to visit or haven’t been there recently. Located just a few miles north of Freeland, off Resort Road, this garden is an island jewel and a delight to visit during the current explosion of spring color or anytime you’d like a quiet, woodland walk.

Meerkerk Gardens is in its peak bloom season. Every year I hear people lamenting they forgot to visit or haven’t been there recently. Located just a few miles north of Freeland, off Resort Road, this garden is an island jewel and a delight to visit during the current explosion of spring color or anytime you’d like a quiet, woodland walk. Admission is only $5, or for a $50 annual family pass you can pop in anytime. Treat yourself and come to Meerkerk.
