Editor,

Your front page article from September 21 on ferry-line cutters struck a chord. I am a part-time resident, and I am fed up with the line cutters.

I can really empathize with those who commute every day. I have thought for several years now that the new policy is ineffective and causes frustration and worse. I know when someone cuts in front of me — I see red. I now have the cut line phone number entered in my iPhone, but I also know it does absolutely nothing when I make the call.

Will it take a shooting before better laws, policies and enforcement are put into place?

In my opinion, eventually that is exactly what is going to happen. If not in Mukilteo or Clinton, then at some other ferry dock. This needs to change and I hope my letter helps make some difference, whether it gets published or not. Please pass it on to state authorities who have the ability to change things.

P.S. I own no guns.
