To the editor:

Thank you to the members of the Fishin’ Club for their generosity. The money and groceries they donated for their annual holiday food drive made it possible to purchase items for breakfast, lunch and dinner lasting about two weeks.

Members of the Fishin’ Club purchased and delivered boxes of food and a turkey the week of Christmas. Nineteen children and 30 adults from 11 families were able to enjoy meals during the holiday season. Club members should be proud to have contributed, with a generous discount from the major supermarket on South Whidbey, a total of $1,284 worth of food to needy families.
