To the editor:

In our current economy and environment, healthy functioning farms are even more important to our rural community.

One of the things that can have tremendous impact on the future of our local farms is our political leadership. Do you know which of the candidates is an active member of “Skagitonians to Preserve Farmland?” And, which is an award-winning agricultural education teacher of 32 years? Which candidate has actual technical knowledge of farming?

Who is the only candidate who knows in his or her bones the issues faced by the farmers in our 10th Legislative District?

All those questions and yet only one answer: Tim Knue. While there are many reasons to make Tim your choice in this election, I just wanted to point out that for those of us who care about our farms, Tim is the answer!
