LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Interrogation might be needed

To the editor:

Just two weeks after leaving office Dick Cheney mused publicly that there would likely be another terrorist attack unless the new administration followed the same policies and tactics of the old administration.

Those tactics would include the torture and subsequent murder of dozens of captives by our own government, the unauthorized and illegal wiretapping of ordinary citizens and the indefinite detention of human beings without due process, all of which have resulted in an unprecedented escalation of hatred and animosity toward the United States — and yes, more terrorist threats as a result.

Perhaps Dick Cheney ought to be waterboarded until he discloses his own sources of these threats.
