To the editor:

We are fortunate to have two fine individuals running for the Langley seat on the board of commissioners for the Port of South Whidbey.

After careful examination of the two candidate’s positions and qualifications, I have concluded that electing Chris Jerome would best serve the interests of the citizens of South Whidbey. Chris’s experience as an avid boater and private business man provide him with an in-depth perspective of the recreational and economic needs of South Whidbey.

Review of his Web site, www.chrisjerome4psw.com, shows his expertise and care in approaching problems as well as clearly defining his positions and goals. In personal conversation, Chris has demonstrated his understanding of the importance of establishing a positive working relationship with his fellow commissioners.

I urge my fellow citizens to vote for Chris Jerome for commissioner of the Port of South Whidbey.
