To the editor:

This is a letter of deep appreciation to all those who helped make the 25th Annual Tingstad & Rumbel Concert at WICA a resounding success. This was also the 25th year that the Langley United Methodist Church has had the privilege of sponsoring the concert, dubbed the 12th Night Concert many years ago when it was held at the church in Langley.

The benefit funding from the Tingstad & Rumbel concerts has been a big factor in allowing the church to extend its music ministry into the community, providing opportunities for singers and instrumentalists to experience remarkable orchestral offerings, such as last year’s Brahms German Requiem.

Special thanks to Karen McInerney, Linda Tuck, Larry Fox, Nancy Waddell, Sue Frause, Clancy Dunigan, Stacie Burgua and the WICA staff, the Edgecliff Restaurant for the excellent reception, the Star Store, and to Patricia Duff for the wonderful article in the Record, and of course, to all you loyal fans who came to a concert on the day after New Year’s.

Next year’s T&R concert is set for Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011. Looking forward to the next 25 years.
