LETTER TO THE EDITOR | No lawsuits, desire to listen needed for commissioner

Editor, Here are two requirements for our next county commissioner. Number one: No lawsuits against the county. Number two: The ability and desire to listen to what her fellow commissioners have to say. Our government is a democracy. The job of our elected officials is to work with each other in good faith. We, the people, expect them to understand conflicting interests, to find common ground and sensible compromises.

We do not need another commissioner with the methods and goals of Kelly Emerson.
