LETTER TO THE EDITOR: No mystery on this question

To the editor:

First of all I want to thank you for your coverage of the election issues in the South Whidbey Record. And in response to a letter to the editor on Oct. 11 concerning the issue of life I want to say that there is no mystery about when life begins: It is at conception.

The new life formed grows at an astonishing rate from that point on. If it is not human life in a woman’s womb what is it?

The conception of human life produces a human being and that life is able to be sustained and continue to grow, with the assistance of medical science, at a younger and younger age if it is born prematurely. And yet Planned Parenthood, funded by our tax dollars, and the Democratic candidate for president of the U.S. would support ending the life of that human being even while it is being born—at full term.
