LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Rose has a strong sense of fairness

To the editor:

Although Reece Rose has not held a public office, she has gained a great deal of insight into the way our county government works.

She has served on a county advisory committee and has attended numerous commissioner meetings. That is good, but her efforts go beyond observing and participating in group sessions. On many occasions, Reece has discussed issues and has consulted with one of our commissioners. We believe that informal, personal, one-on-one discussions with a commissioner gives a better insight into the nature of county government and the complexities that determine decisions.

Reece has been spending a good deal of time this past year studying the specifics of the county budget. When she didn’t understand some detail, she consulted the county budget director until her questions were answered. Being a commissioner is a tough job and needs a person who digs in and is not a passive observer.

Reece has a strong sense of fairness, and she will represent every one of her constituents well. We encourage you to vote for Reece Rose.
