“Thankyous” are in order to the many people who made the Concert for Ryan’s House for Youth on Saturday at the South Whidbey High School Auditorium a wonderful success.

Thanks first to the members of the Rainey Music Project: the very talented Richard Rorex, Robert Marsanyi, Alan Brown, Dave Willis, Eric Vanderbilt-Mathews and Kim Jones; thank you so much!

Also thanks to Tamar and Gene Felton and The Star Store Market for refreshments; to Dan Hill and The Goose Grocery for the cases of water; to Ann Spink for many hours of selfless, vital assistance; to JW Desserts for delicious cake; to Frank Parra at Sebo’s Do-It Hardware Store in Clinton; to handsome Master of Ceremonies Kevin Lungren; to Alex Brumley for load-in help; to Jim, Chuck, and Jan Simpson for sound and house management; to Steve Strasberg for the on-stage lights; to Bill Leffler for the P.A. system; and to Sharon Rose at Boomerang Printing at Ken’s Korner.

Thanks must go finally to Lori Cavender and all the volunteers of Ryan’s House for Youth, who work tirelessly for the benefit of those kids that so urgently need a helping hand. God bless you, Lori, for all you do for the kids, and in turn for all our future because the kids are the future.

For all the people who have so generously helped that I have unwittingly neglected to thank, please forgive me and know that you did a wonderful thing in helping the kids, and for that we do sincerely thank you.
