I wish that the recent article describing the changes of responsibilities at the South Whidbey Record had also reported the significant contributions of now resigned publisher Sherry Mays.

Mrs. Mays’ skills and abilities contributed to the several awards received by The Record in recent years. Her numerous contributions to our community outside her duties at The Record are also worthy of pubic recognition. When public praise is merited it should be given.

Thank you Mrs. Mays for your service to the community of South Whidbey Island. My best wishes to you in your future.
