The Island Beach Access Committee would like to thank Theresa Truex for her concerns about sign pollution on our beautiful island.

We share her concern and have a proposal that we believe will be an improvement on several levels: For every four signs legally removed that read “PRIVATE PROPERTY,” “NO PUBLIC BEACH ACCESS,” “VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED,” and “THE SHERIFF WILL BE CALLED,” Island Beach Access will legally place one sign that reads “WELCOME. PUBLIC BEACH.”
