LETTER TO THE EDITOR | South Whidbey cops, responders are awesome

Editor, Our Unsung Heroes: On Dec. 2, I fell prey to the icy roads on the South End with a rollover. Within minutes an entire emergency response team was there, assessing the situation and getting to work. Great care and concern was directed my way and amazingly all was OK. Sgt. Laura Price with the Island County Sheriff’s Office was wonderful and obviously a great asset to the department.

These amazing men and women are out there taking care of business. Think about Puget Sound Energy restoring our power while we sit home and complain. I certainly did not think that I would be in a situation such as it was, but I now know how blessed we are to have these dedicated folks all around us.

Thank you so very much for being there and taking such good care of me. I am grateful. Also to Jeromy Rowland who was a passerby and first on the scene. My Guardian Angel.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
